Our Estate Sale Services

Advertising to Niche and General Markets

A well-attended sale starts with the right audience. We promote your sale to local shoppers and to serious collectors of antiques, rare books, jewelry, timepieces, art, and collectibles, so the right buyers see the right items.

We advertise every sale widely on EstateSales.org, EstateSales.net, EstateSale.com, and Facebook, and directly to our dealer email list of antique dealers, collectors, and resellers.

Pricing Research for Your Items

Every item is researched and priced to sell. We use current market data, auction results, and decades of hands-on experience to find a fair price for everything from fine antiques to everyday household goods.

Estate Sale Planning, Set-Up, and Sale Management

We sort, stage, and display your items, then run the sale from opening to close, including customer service, checkout, and security. You don’t need to be there.

Online Auctions

Some items do best in front of a national audience. For those, we offer online auction services to reach collectors beyond the Seattle area.

We hold a new online auction every two weeks on AuctionNinja, each with around 500 estate items, and bidders can join from anywhere in the United States. See our current auctions on AuctionNinja.

Empty House Services

When the sale ends, we help you with what’s left: donation arrangements, removal, and a cleared, ready-to-list property.

Antique and Personal Property Appraisals

If you aren’t sure what your belongings are worth, we offer appraisals as part of or separate from an estate sale. As a certified appraiser with a fine arts background, I appraise antiques, rare books, jewelry, and timepieces for sale, estate, and other purposes. Appraisals are available on-site or remotely, and I’m willing to travel. I’m also available for expert witness work.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does an estate sale work?

We handle the whole process for you, in these steps:

  1. Free consultation and walk-through. We visit the home, look at what you have, talk through your goals and timeline, and explain how we would run your sale. If there are items you want to keep or give to family, set them aside or tell us, and we will leave them out of the sale.
  2. Sorting and research. We go through the home room by room, identifying antiques, art, jewelry, rare books, timepieces, collectibles, and everyday household goods. Each item is researched using current market data, auction results, and our decades of experience.
  3. Pricing. Every item is individually priced to sell at a fair market price. Items that will do better in front of a national audience can be set aside for one of our online auctions.
  4. Staging and set-up. We clean, arrange, and display your belongings throughout the home, so shoppers can easily see and find what they are looking for.
  5. Advertising. We promote your sale to local shoppers and to serious collectors and dealers, highlighting your best pieces so the right buyers come.
  6. The sale. Our team runs the sale from opening to close, usually over a few days, handling customer service, checkout, and security. You don't need to be there.
  7. Afterward. When the sale ends, we help with whatever remains through our empty house services, including donation arrangements and removal, leaving a cleared, ready-to-list property.
